Today is a special day – after 4 years of development which includes going back to the drawing board (only once thankfully) – Signcrowd.com has launched. Curiosity has brought you to this page so its my goal to outline why Signcrowd exists and how it will help you, whether you are a sign company, sign maker or someone seeking sign services – we are building a marketing platform for the sign industry.

Like a lot of business or tech platforms, Signcrowd was born out of frustration. Frustration that it was too hard to find a sign company. I grew up in the sign industry and have worked in it for over 20 years. Over the last decade as our sign company grew on a national level, there was a need to find partners to assist us. Whether it was a quick survey, a partner to help with installation, a permitting company to make sure the proper paperwork was being filed and so on, we would spend hours on Google and other platforms searching for help while hitting a dead end and we all know time is money. I came up with the concept of Signcrowd in 2014 in a much more complex version (which might creep its way back into the platform in a few years) and its been one of those ideas I have kept plugging away on ever since.

This platform is designed to be simple with an easy to use and well designed interface. We charge a monthly or annual fee (tip: save some money and pay that annual fee) to the sign company and that’s it. It’s free to the end user and there is no sign up to search for a sign company. If you are like me, I am exhausted from having to remember and store passwords. Just search for your sign maker or sign company based on the city or even better, search by address to get the results closest to you, click what you need (vehicle wraps, sign painting, pylon sign, permitting, etc) and boom! You get the results within 25-50 miles. Now if you get 1 or 2 results based on your area, contact those companies first – we are working on recruiting quality over quantity.

And having worked on this over 4 years I have had countless conversations with our clients, asking them if a tool like this would be helpful for their business or organization and the answer was an enthusiastic YES! The businesses looking for signs is our main target and we will be working hard to promote this platform to them, which will help get your company in front of more people.

Which brings me to my final point. I am building Signcrowd as something I would want to use. Whether I get 100 or 1,000 sign companies to be a part of the Signcrowd network, the goal is quality. My goal is to not build the largest network of sign companies in the world, just a network of the best.
